Wisconsin Sex Offender Released October 30th

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, is notifying the public of the intended release of Rex A. Tande. His intended release date is October 30, 2011. At the time of this news release, Mr. Tande will be residing at 247 E. Tower Street in the Village of Alma Center, County of Jackson, with a relative.
Mr. Tande was convicted in Monroe County of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in 1997 and has been imprisoned since that time. Mr. Tande is a repeat offender, with prior victims being female relatives or acquaintances who were preteen in age. Mr. Tande’s sentence will expire completely on October 30, 2011 and he will no longer be subject to any rules or conditions of community supervision. He will; however, be subject to all requirements of the WI Sex Offender Registration Program for his lifetime, including GPS monitoring.
Given the fact that Mr. Tande has not been able to secure employment or obtain housing he may be seen wandering in public areas. Community members should stay alert to his activities and report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement.
The release of this information is intended to keep the public informed of sexual offenders who are residing in the community and cannot be used to threaten, harass or otherwise intimidate Mr. Tande.
