Sex offenders sentenced in Clinton County Court

PLATTSBURGH — Five Clinton County residents were sentenced recently on separate sex-crime convictions.
All of them were ordered to provide a DNA sample for the state data bank and register as sex offenders with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.
Jason P. Coryer, 37, of Plattsburgh pleaded guilty to third-degree rape and was sentenced by Clinton County Court Judge Patrick McGill to one and a half years in prison with five years of post-release supervision and the payments of $1,425 in surcharges and fees.
An order of protection was issued to protect the victim.
Police said Coryer had sexual contact with a 16-year-old and that he and the girl were in a relationship for three months.
Israel Grom, 24, of Plattsburgh pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual act and was sentenced by McGill to 10 years of probation.
Grom was ordered to pay $1,425 in mandatory surcharges, and his right to an appeal was waived.
Plattsburgh City Police said Grom engaged in unwanted sexual contact with a 16-year-old at a city residence.
Justin D. Brown, 23, of Plattsburgh pleaded guilty to third-degree rape and was sentenced by Judge Timothy Lawliss to time served and 10 years of probation.
