Sex offenders sentenced in Clinton County Court

PLATTSBURGH — Five Clinton County residents were sentenced recently on separate sex-crime convictions. All of them were ordered to provide a DNA sample for the state data bank and register as sex offenders with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

4 Nebraska men indicted for failing to register as sex offenders

Four Nebraska men have been charged in separate federal indictments of failing to register as sex offenders. Twenty-seven-year-old Duane Levering, of South Sioux City, and 34-year-old Stephen Tanner, of Omaha, are each accused of failing to register in March.

Michigan Sex Offenders To Pay $50

LANSING, MI – People listed on Michigan’s sex offender registry would pay an annual fee of $50 under terms of a bill overwhelmingly approved by the state Senate. Current state law calls for offenders to pay the $50 fee only when they are first registered. Senate Bill 221 would make that an annual payment.
